Blake Hollers, owner of The Hollers Team Realtors at Keller Williams Realty joins with Robert McCullough, CNA, owner of Assisting Hands Home Care to lead a discussion about personal safety, home security and ways to create a more secure home. Technology and practical lifestyle solutions will be covered, along with helpful tips and useful advice which can be easily put into practice at home.
This is an open discussion. Everyone has a different view about what aging with ease means to them. Questions and input are welcomed. Why Senectus?
Senectus has a mission: simplifying access to quality, affordable services for seniors. Yet, as a consumer, it’s fair to ask why these services would join as a group, with a name, identity and shared purpose. Although each organizer has earned a reputation for service, why does connecting as Senectus offer more than the sum of our parts… or partners?
What unites us is a need: A majority of adults are unprepared for helping an aging family member to make inevitable, life-changing decisions. However, over 65% of adults will end up in a care giving role. Further, due to the aging of boomers, there is a rapidly growing need for elder support. And, in the Gen X and in Millennial generations following baby boomers, there will be fewer and fewer available family members to help with aging in place, downsizing, relocation and financial preparedness.
In planning, an important success factor is knowing who to turn to for resources, advice and assistance. Added to this, numerous services may be needed and coordination of them may be vital, all within a budget, timeline, often during uncertain times of change, and likely with a limited, fixed income. Care givers and family who intend well, yet have busy schedules of their own.
What is Senectus?
Senectus is a collaborating group of service professionals focused on the needs of Dallas area seniors and their families.
Senectus connects seniors to a network of local services including home health, transportation, move management, organizing assistance, housekeeping, elder law, estate planning, financial planning, real estate and retirement community placement.
